A vigorous evergreen perennial, forming clumps of grass-like linear leaves with solitary or clusters of black flower heads, followed by cotton like white fruit.This appealing British native is often seen on boggy, acidic peatlands and makes a lovely marginal aquatic. Hardy and evergreen, this perennial is an excellent choice for boggy ericaceous soils and providing valuable cover for wildlife at the edges of ponds. Height: 45cm (18"). Spread: 100cm (39").
