Salvia Pink Lips (aka Jeremy) is as the name suggests, a bi-colour of pink and white. It is in the series of the ‘Lips’ Salvias along with ‘Hot Lips‘, Cherry Lips and Amethyst Lips
Blackcurrant scented leaves and masses of flowers perfect for a border or pot.
Grow in a sunny sheltered spot in well drained soil or in a container.
As with all salvias, this variety is ideal for drought tolerant planting schemes. A long flowering season and popular with pollinators, it is easy to see why Salvias are growing in popularity!
Salvias are very easy to care for in the garden. Trim plants in late summer for Autumn flowering and leave plants over winter. After winter trim back in the warmth of the spring in order to promote strong re-growth.
There are many types of Salvia. They can be annual, biennial, or perennial herbs, and woody subshrubs. The leaves are sometimes toothed or pinnately divided. The flowering stems bear small bracts, and in some species the bracts are ornamental. Some Salvias have hairy leaves or stems or flowers, and these hairs sometimes give off an aroma when brushed as oil is secreted. The flowers of Salvia are usually tubular with two "lips" - the lower one larger than the upper one - and often fragrant. 'Pink Lips' is a bushy plant that bears bi-colour flowers in white and vivid pink. In hot weather, some flowers may be fully pink, some fully white and some bicolour.
